Fiesta Like There's No Mañana

Fiesta Like There's No Mañana

Happy Monday everyone!  Hope your weekend was fabulous!  Can you believe it's May already!  Time is flying by, and I have a feeling our busy May is going to be over in the blink of an eye.  Tomorrow is Cinco de Mayo!   I love to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with my little familia.  Mexican food is probably my #1 all time favorite food.  Anytime I pick what restaurant we go to you can be sure it will be a Mexican restaurant!  Yummy!  I wanted to share a fun Cinco de Mayo printable sign for the parties you may be planning.  It is a 5x7 size, great for printing at home or sending to your local photo center and framing.  Tomorrow I will be sharing some printable salsa bar tags and signs.  These are perfect for bringing a little festivity to your fiesta!

Here are some party ideas from our last Cinco de Mayo celebration.

To wrap up our week of Bunny Money I wanted to give a few tips for a successful event:

  • When the kids are running out of money and the store still has inventory, you can slash prices by 50%, have a buy one get one free, or even have the kids do random things to earn their prize like sing a song, do 10 jumping jacks, etc.
  • If you have varying ages at your hunt, have the younger kids be the only ones allowed to find the eggs that are touching the ground.  This way it is harder for the older kids to find their eggs.
  • Have grocery sacks for the kids to fill up with their loot they buy at the bunny store.
  • When the hunt is done and the money is spent, have the kids reload the money in the eggs for you, so they are ready to go for next year.

I hope you have a wonderful Easter filled with love and laughter.  Most importantly, may our thoughts be filled with gratitude for our Savior at this special time.

Easter is fast approaching.  Are you ready to open the doors of your bunny store?  My cute neighbor came over to tend baby bumblebee today and saw my bunny store setup up and didn't realize that the prices were in bunny money.  She was quite shocked that I was charging $10.00 for a Kit Kat bar. Now you can feel good about charging $10.00 for a Kit Kat bar too!  Download your own printable bunny store egg shaped price tags by clicking on the link below.

Don't Eat Peter

Don't Eat Peter

If you've played Don't Eat Pete, this is our Easter version played the same way.  We love this game! It is so simple kids of all ages can play together!  All you have to do is print out the free game board and grab some small easter candies.  To play: Place one piece of candy in each square. Send one person out of the room while the group chooses one candy piece to be “Peter ”.  When the player returns he slowly eats the candies one at a time. The minute he touches “PETER” the group yells “DON’T EAT PETER”!! His turn is then over and the next player leaves the room. Continue until all have had a turn.
